Kazlıçeşme-Bakırköy arasındaki 5 km’lik bölümün bu yıl içinde Marmaray’a eklenmesi düşünülüyor. Bu bölümde Zeytinburnu ve Yenimahalle istasyonları yenilenecek. Bakırköy Garı ise restore edilecek ve güney tarafında yeni bir yapı inşaa edilecek. Kazlıçeşme ile Zeytinburnu arasındaki hattın 3’e çıkarılması için yapılması gereken büyük bir altyapı işi bulunyor. Zeytinburnu-Yenimahalle arasında ise Veliefendi Bölgesi’nde dere geçişi, karayolu alt geçidi gibi yapılar bulunuyor. Bu yapıların 2 hattın geçişine olanak verdiği yanına ilave yapılar eklenerek 3 hatta çıkarılması planlanıyor.
