Brazil and China Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation on Railways: On 17 July, during the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Brazil and China to cooperate in rail systems projects.
The agreement involves mutual exchange of best practices in the field of railway construction and freight transport. It also aims to encourage private sector investments in Brazil and covers cooperation in modernization projects.
On the other hand, Brazil and China have signed an agreement with Peru together. Within the scope of this agreement, the feasibility of rail system construction for a continent between Brazil and Peru will be examined in order to serve in the fields of agricultural production and mineral extraction.
