Ankara-Istanbul YHT flights started: Ankara-Istanbul High Speed ​​Train (YHT) line started its first voyage with the participation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Moving from Ankara Train Station, YHT will take short breaks in Eskişehir and Bilecik and reach Pendik in the evening. It is aimed to carry 7.5 million passengers per year to the new line.

The Ankara-Istanbul High Speed ​​Train, whose opening was postponed for a few trips, was delivered to the Ramadan Feast. The high-speed train, with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan among the passengers on its first flight, departed from Ankara Station this morning at 11. In addition to the small-scale ceremonies to be held in Eskişehir and Bilecik, the main opening ceremony of the line will be held at 40 in Pendik, the last stop. The expedition fees on the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed ​​Train line, which is raised for the holiday, will be announced by Prime Minister Erdogan.

TARGET: 7.5 MILLION PASSENGER IN YEAR

With the opening of the YHT, the distance between Ankara and Istanbul was reduced to 3.5 hours in the first place. It is aimed to reduce this period up to 3 hours with further studies. An average of 7.5 million passengers will be transported annually on the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line. There are a total of 9 stops on the line: Polatlı, Eskişehir, Bozüyük, Bilecek, Pamukova, Sapanca, İzmit, Gebze and Pendik. It was recorded that the trains on the Ankara-Istanbul line consist of 9 wagons and the passenger capacity is 409 + 2. Flexible pricing will even be applied. According to TCDD's report, different discounts will be applied depending on social status.

12 SEFER ON THE DAY, 4 DIFFERENT CLASS SERVICE

A total of 12 voyages, six departures and six arrivals, will be organized every day between Ankara and Istanbul. As the number of trips to Eskişehir was reduced, the arrival time was also shortened. The distance between YHT and Ankara-Eskişehir decreased from 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes. The new clock order of the Eskişehir line, which has been reduced to four times, is as follows: 9.00, 12.55, 16.45 and 21.00.
