10 firm qualified for the construction work of the Mecca Metro: 1 in Mecca Metro at the beginning of this year. The pre-qualification tender for the construction works was completed. The mayor of Makkah, 16, declared that among the international consortium, 10 was shortlisted and would be presenting their offers.
The Mecca railway project includes the construction of a total of 114 km-long 4 lines and the 62 station. The project will be awarded with separate contracts.
Contracts for 1 and 2 are expected to start in the middle of 2015. The tests will be started at 2017 and full operation will be passed at 2020.
Contract prequalification applications for interested bidders interested in 3 were collected on June 16 and the tender for the pre-qualification of the contract for 4 was submitted to the tender.
