543 million dollars to Derince Port: The highest bid in the privatization tender for the transfer of operating rights of Kocaeli Derince Port of TCDD, which was carried out by the Privatization Administration (PA), came from Safi Solid Fuel with the highest bid for 39 million dollars.
The tender, which was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the PA, Ahmet Aksu, was attended by Yılport Holding and Kumport Port Services within the body of Fiba Holding. The same three companies participated in the auction session of the first tender held in January for the transfer of operating rights of the port for the year 36; investors were canceled because they did not bid more than the commission-determined initial amount of $ 516 million.
Prior to the tender for the second time, the transfer period was increased from 36 year to 39 year and some technical changes were made in favor of investors in terms of investment.
300 million dollar construction investment
Hakan Safi, Chairman of the Board of SAFİ Real Estate, Derince said they would make a port worthy. Safi stated that the tender was realized within the expectations and said: ş I hope we will build a port worthy of Derince and we will announce the projects as soon as possible. Our budget was slightly higher, but it was not difficult to reach these figures. We have a, b and c plans on financing. ” Safi gave information about the investment to be realized in the port and said, “We will find the models made by foreigners and start and finish the construction.
