Baku-Tbilisi Kars Line First Wagon Investment From Azerbaijan: 12 was signed in June on the basis of the contract for the supply of the train train for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars route between Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) and Switzerland's Stadler for US $ 133.

The vehicles will be equipped with V-wheels of shelf / DBAG type, which can be modified to operate in both 1435 mm and 1520 mm rail openings.

The wagons will be operated to form 10 sets with 3 vehicles. First class sleeping cars will be equipped with a 16 bed and a washroom in each cabin. Each of the second class sleeping cars will have a 34 bed, a single toilet and a shower. Three vehicles will be a composite wagon and three vehicles will be designed for disabled passengers. Food wagons 28 will be available to take passengers.

  1. The freight / passenger wagons to be operated on the BKT route must be capable of passing the error of the 1520 mm line from the standard line, wide error and 1435 line. Some of the European and Asian countries' wagon bogies are made suitable for working on these different lines. TCDD and other persons who want to carry cargo / passengers on these lines must immediately manufacture wagons which are applied to the BTK line.
