The baby who fell on the train tracks returned from death: The 8-month-old Erdem Mertyüz, who was wanted to be taken off the train in Izmir with a baby carriage, fell between the train and the station platform.
In the incident that took place at İzmir Gaziemir İZBAN Station, the passenger train departing from Denizli and arriving in Izmir approached the İZBAN Station. One of the passengers wanted to get off the train with a stroller. Meanwhile, 8-month-old Erdem Mertyüz, sliding from the gap in front of the stroller, fell into the gap between the train and the station platform. Hearing the mother's cry for help, he informed the station attendants. The officers who went down on the rails and those at the station took the little Erdem up. Erdem Mertyüz, who was taken to Dokuz Eylül University Hospital and treated by ambulance, was reported to be in good condition.
Police launched an investigation into the incident.
