MIT setting for the cable car in Ankara: The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) adjustment was made to the route of the cable car line that will extend from Ankara Yenimahalle to Ankapark in Atatürk Orman Çiftliği (AOÇ), which is planned to open in September.
According to the news of İsmail Özyurt from Habertürk Newspaper, a new project was prepared for the cable car in order not to pass over the MİT campus. It was planned to build a cable car between Yenimahalle metro station and AOÇ to reach Ankapark, Europe's largest theme park, which is planned to be opened in September. The project of the 8-kilometer cable car line, which will be the continuation of the Şentepe Yenimahalle cable car, was brought to the agenda at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Cultural Assets Protection Board and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the Natural Assets Protection Commission.
The first project was accepted in these two boards, but this time the MIT objected to the project, stating that it was a security risk for the line to cross over its own site. Metropolitan Municipality also renewed the project considering the sensitivity of MIT.
According to the new project, a second ropeway line will be constructed between İvedik Metro and Ankapark, independent of Şentepe-Yenimahalle cable car line. Within the scope of the project, the last stop of the ropeway will be the entrance gate of Ankapark on Anadolu Boulevard.
From the subway to Ivedik, the capitals will take the cable car to Ankapark. Some of the feet of the lift will be placed in the AOÇ area. The cable car will be used both for transportation and for sightseeing in Ankapark.
