TCDD aims to connect the cities with high population from Ankara, especially Ankara-Istanbul, by high-speed train. In this context, Ankara-Istanbul is expected to be operational in a short time. TCDD has purchased 250 high-speed train sets that can be operated at a speed of 12 km / h for passenger transportation on the opened High Speed ​​Train lines. Contracts of 300 very high-speed train sets that can speed up to 7 km per hour were signed. One of these sets was received, the production works of the others are ongoing.
