Rehabilitation and Signaling of Irmak-Karabük-Zonguldak Railway Line Project: Project Director of Irmak-Karabük-Zonguldak Railway Line Rehabilitation and Signalization ”Mehmet Başer said,“ Our line renewal and signalization works continue rapidly. The project will be completed in January 2016. ”

Baser, in his statement to journalists, stated that they are continuing to work with a team of 2 people in the project, the foundations of which were laid 800 years ago, and that the signaling and communication center will be established in Karabuk.
Explaining that the line will be an important corridor in passenger and freight transportation with its feature of being a corridor that enables the transition from the Black Sea to Anatolia, Başer said, “The length of the line is 450 kilometers. The line is completely renewed at EU standards. The rails and trusses used are domestic goods. It is produced in our country. Our line renewal and signalization works are continuing rapidly. The project will be completed in January 2016, ”he said.

Başer added that the project, of which 85 percent was funded by the EU grant, is the largest transportation project in the non-member countries financed by the EU.
