Istanbul-Adapazari commuter train

Do not forget the Istanbul-Adapazarı suburban train: I can no longer calculate how many times the due date has been given by many people since the railway construction started in 2010.

Binali Yıldırım, the former Minister of Transport, had taken the lead. We know that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan also closely follows every stage. I am talking about the High Speed Train (YHT) project that will take between Istanbul and Ankara in three hours. It was announced that YHT will start scheduled flights between Istanbul and Ankara as of October 29, 2013. It did not, it is not over. The term is constantly extended.

The previous day, Transport Maritime and Communications Minister Lutfi Elvan, "the second half of May, Istanbul-Ankara flights will begin," he said. Trial voyages are organized for approximately two months. It was done in the middle of the night. Now we can see the train on the coast of Izmit during the day. Obviously, the final stage. Considering the Minister's words, we can assume that we will take the train at 19 May.

Izmit-Ankara journey with YHT will take 2,5 hours and Izmit-Istanbul journey will take 35 minutes. Pendik is the last stop of the high speed train in Istanbul. After getting off at this station, you can go to Üsküdar by metro and cross Marmaray. In other words, we will be able to reach Sirkeci and Yenikapı in about 1 hour from Izmit.

YHT will stop in Gebze and Izmit only in Kocaeli. In our city, towns such as Derbent, Derince, Yarimca, Hereke used to use the train extensively. The home-work-school order of many people was based on transportation by train. It is wrong to wait for the High Speed Train to stop at every station. But between Istanbul and Adapazarı, which will allow intermediate stations to transfer, the suburban train should start operating as soon as possible.

When the Ministry's high-speed train services begin, it may fall into rest and ignore this issue. City managers need to follow this business in Ankara.
