Rize Branch President Mahmut Dabak, who attended the General Administration Board (GİK) meeting hosted by the Elazig Branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MUSIAD), made a Rize presentation to the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Lütfi Elvan, on the issues that fall under the responsibility of the Ministry. In İyidere, the sea depth reaches 20-25 meters, which can be an important logistics center of the world where heavy tonnage ships can easily dock. With the opening of the Ovit tunnel, the logistics center to be built here will be restored, with the 538 km railway connection between Samsun and Sarp, and the Silk Road, which connects Anatolia to Central Asia, one of the cheapest and least risky methods of freight and passenger transportation. This investment should be a big project that should be considered at the national level rather than a regional investment.
