After heavy rains that swept across the Balkans last week, the damage caused by the flood has prompted Bosnia to call for urgent international assistance.

After heavy rains last week, the worst flood disaster of the last century led to massive destruction in the Balkans. Floods killed thousands of people, and thousands of people from their homes. On the other hand, damage to goods will occur over time. Of course, the railroads were also greatly affected.

in Bosnia Srpske Republic Railways (Republican Railways) (ŽRS) called for urgent international assistance. The ŽRS currently states that it is impossible for them to repair existing damage. Therefore, they ask for help from the relevant units all over the world so that they can put their trains back into operation on the line.

Urgently needed materials are UIC 60 and S49 type rails, ballast, wood and concrete sleepers, line and catenary maintenance vehicles, road vehicles and machines necessary for balancing sets. There is also a need for office furniture and related IT equipment as the flood also destroys offices.
