Asphalt Waste Recovery Project Signed: Mevlana Development Agency will support Selçuklu Municipality's "Recycling of Asphalt Wastes" project. Selçuklu Municipality, which applied for the proposal of Mevlana Development Agency's 2014 Call for Urban Infrastructure Development Financial Support Program with the "Recycling of Asphalt Wastes" project, was entitled to receive support. The contract for the project was signed by Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General Dr. It was signed by Ahmet Akman and Selçuklu Municipality Deputy Mayor Ayhan Gürbüzer.
Ayhan Gürbüzer, Deputy Mayor of Selçuklu Municipality, stated that the financial support program and the general purpose of the project is to ensure the continuity of regional development by creating the necessary infrastructure for the improvement of local services in the TR52 Region.
He stated that the special purpose of the project is to ensure the recovery of asphalt wastes in Konya, to address the infrastructure and environmental problems in the region with a sustainable approach, to support the implementation of appropriate solutions and to increase the quality of life in the TR52 Region with environmentally friendly methods.
Gürbüzer stated that the facility, which will be the first in terms of public institutions regarding the environment in Konya, will provide local support to the sustainable development of the region thanks to the recovery of asphalt wastes produced in the province.
Gürbüzer said, "With the asphalt recycling facility to be established thanks to the project, the balance of protection and use of physical and information-based infrastructure systems will be developed in the concept of sustainable and green growth, and it will contribute to increasing the quality of local service obtained from the shared environment."
Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General Ahmet Akman wished the project to be beneficial to the Seljuk Municipality and the region.
