While the collapses occurred in the middle leg of the Haburman bridge in Kale Mahallesi, one of the most important historical buildings of the Çermik district of Diyarbakır, the District Governorship wrote to the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism for the necessary works.
Speaking on the subject, Diyarbakır's Çermik District District Governor Mimar Sinan Batmaz stated that a letter was written to the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism to carry out the necessary works for the historical building.
“Since it was restored within the framework of the project, it is also a Historical and Cultural entity, and there is no situation related to the District Governorship. We have reported this damage to the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism on the historical bridge. I believe that the Directorate of Culture and Tourism will start the necessary work as soon as possible ”
Within the scope of the "Program for Reducing Flood Risk in Flooded Areas in the GAP Region", which was carried out jointly by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, it was claimed that the bridge was restored and the brick falls occurred.
