Expropriation works of the ropeway project, which is planned to be built from Rize center to Dağbaşı site, continue.
Mayor Reşat Kasap stated in his statement that the ropeway project will make a great contribution to Rize's tourism and said, “The necessary procedures are going on by negotiating with the owners.”
Kasap stated that they want to realize the ropeway project as soon as possible, said:
“According to the data we currently have, about 30 acres of the 15-acre area was expropriated. We plan to nationalize the remaining part, taking into account the opinions of our citizens. We will try to find a compromise and find a middle way in solving the problems. Our citizens have really understood us in the format of 'friendly president' that has been introduced since the beginning. They came to such matters and started making the necessary discussions with us. I thank them for their understanding. ”
Butcher also noted that they plan to complete the operations as soon as possible and move on to the construction phase of the project. The cable car will be 700 meters long. In addition to its contribution to tourism, it is a project that will facilitate transportation. It will rise to an altitude of approximately 350 meters above sea level.
