Karabuk University students 100. In the neighborhood of the gendarmerie has gathered 900 signatures for the establishment of a signaling system.
A group of students gathered next to the Governor's Office and made a press statement after the university student Ersin Sözmez died in the traffic accident that lasted on April 9.
Speaking on behalf of about 10 students gathered next to the governor's office, Mehmet Emin Ünal said that they had difficulties in the Gendarmerie Junction, which was called the death junction, for years, because the necessary precautions were not taken. There have been many accidents in the same place before and we demanded to take action against them. We conveyed our requests to the institutions by making a roadblocking action and declared that those responsible cannot escape. We made an appointment request from Karabuk University Rectorate and Karabuk Governorate. However, there was no return. These humanitarian demands of us students were not even taken into consideration. On Monday, the Provincial Traffic Commission went to reduce speed limits on the known road. But this is definitely not enough. We, Karabuk University students, do not want to lose more friends. We insist on the establishment of a signaling system at the killer junction. Our request is very simple, if the signalization system is not made at this killer intersection in the upcoming period and the disasters are not prevented, we students will take our own precautions. We are reporting this to all institutions and those responsible through the press. ”
The students then went to the Governor's Office to deliver around 900 signatures they collected to Governor Orhan Alimoğlu.
