Only IC İçtaş İnşaat company submitted a bid for the tender held on July 28, 2012 at the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI).
Operation period 29 year 11 months as the result of the tender is expected to be approved by the High Planning Council (YPK) within a few days, then signed with IC İçtaş Construction contract will be signed.
Airport construction planned to start next month is expected to be completed in 2 year.
Since cargo transportation will also be carried out from the airport, work on the railway connection has been started. It has been noted that a feasibility report has started to be prepared by the 14th Regional Directorate of TCDD in Afyonkarahisar for the construction of a 7-kilometer railway line between Çöğürler Station on the Kütahya Afyonkarahisar line and the airport, and then this project will be realized.
