Festival of the book on the tram: Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Art and Vocational Training Courses (GAMEK) by free books distributed in the tram by citizens were encouraged to read books.

Arriving at the Tram stop in Gaziantep Station square at noon, GAMEK teachers and students got on the tram and distributed books to the passengers. Citizens who saw the books in which 100 Basic Works were distributed free of charge said the application was pleasing. The students, who read books with the citizens during the journey, reminded that the wasted time on the tram can be spent by reading a book. Books were distributed one by one to every citizen who got on the tram from all stops.
GAMEK Cumhuriyet Branch Manager Alahaddin Mencütekin stated that they distributed 250 books during the event and said, “As GAMEK, we organized this event to remind our citizens of the importance of the book and draw attention to its usefulness. We celebrate the book reading holiday as an activity on the tram. I hope it achieves its purpose and the book gets the value it deserves, ”he said.
