Third Airport advertisement is on air. The airport, whose name has not yet been determined, is planned to be named Istanbul Grand Airport (IGA). Cengiz-Kolin-Limak-Mapa-Kalyon joint venture is implementing the 22rd Airport IGA, whose tender was won with a bid of 152 billion 3 million Euros.

IGA 3rd Airport, which will be built in 3 stages, will open at the end of 2018 or in January 2019. The goal of the airport, which will provide job opportunities for 100 thousand people, is to carry 150 million passengers a year. The operating period of the 3rd Airport Istanbul Grand Airport has been fixed as 25 years.

At Istanbul Grand Airport, 3.5 runways, 4-4 kilometers long, 2 runways parallel to the Black Sea and 6 runways extending vertically, will be built for the landing and take-off of aircraft. The total cost of the 3rd Airport Istanbul Grand Airport is 10 million 247 million Euros.

The 3rd Airport, which will be built in the area between Akpınar and Yeniköy villages at the Arnavutköy-Göktürk-Çatalca junction close to the Terkos lake, will be located between Yeniköy and Akpınar villages on the European side of the Black Sea. The first phase of the airport construction will be completed after 42 months, that is, in October 2016, during the IATA flight schedule.
