Eskişehir-İstanbul YHT line will be opened after the test drives are completed: TRANSPORT, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan stated that the High Speed ​​Train (YHT) line between Eskişehir-Istanbul will be put into service after the test drives have been completed and said, “It is important to us that a citizen's life is important to us. After completing our test drives, I hope we will realize our opening. ”
Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Lütfi Elvan, who came to Eskişehir with YHT, together with TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman to attend the opening ceremony of Hasanbey Logistics Center, Minister of Education Nabi Avcı, Governor of Eskişehir Güngör Azim Tuna, Ak Party deputies welcomed many people with Salih Koca and Ülker Can. Stating that the work in the underground passage section of the YHT line in Eskişehir is difficult, the Elvan said, “The high water level made our work difficult and delayed. Again, the infrastructure investments such as 3,5 kilometers of sewage, drinking water and especially rain water have been displaced, ”he said.

Lütfi Elvan, who said that the test runs on the YHT line between Eskişehir and Istanbul, said that the test would not be available before the completion of the test. Minister Elvan said that they did not consider this issue as political material.
“High speed train test drives continue. Tests are currently underway at a speed of 180-200 kilometers. We need to reach up to 275 kilometers. Currently, when you get on the High Speed ​​Train, you can reach Eskişehir from Pendik. There is no problem here. But security is extremely important to us. The safety of our passengers is important. For this reason, we continue our test drives in accordance with international standards. We have to do this. The health of a citizen is important to us. We do not want to take such a risk. We can open it today, but we don't want to take that risk. If we thought of this as an election investment, we would have realized this opening today. I say very clearly. Test drives are extremely important at YHT. We do not want to leave safety. After completing our test drives, I hope we will realize our opening.
CABLES WORK
Minister Elvan, the YHT cable lines were stolen by the thieves, he said. Elvan said that although they took all the necessary measures to prevent this, Elvan continued his speech:
“Even yesterday, I don't know who is doing it, they cut our cables and ran away. Can you imagine? The cable has been cut at least 25 times in the past month. Despite that, we are finished. They cut the cable and run away. Even if we put a security guard every kilometer and take the necessary security measures, they cut off. Some of these people were caught. Even one of the people was given electricity that day, passed away. It is sad for us but we have almost completed our work. Hopefully, our citizens will have the opportunity to travel comfortably and comfortably from Ankara to Eskişehir and from Eskişehir to Istanbul as a result of test drives. A test drive should be made by loading a 150 thousand tonnes. Our friends are working, we have no problems. I can't say a date right now. For us, this means that important test drives need to be completed in a really healthy way. Integration of signal systems with each other is extremely important when making test drives.
We also need to provide its certification. We now provide this whenever we want a certification at 180 kilometers. There is no problem. If we want to go 200 kilometers, we are getting the certification right now. We can start our trains to work, but we want to reach the ultimate goal. If we thought of it as political material, we would open it before the election. ”
Minister Lütfi Elvan had to interrupt his speech due to the noise caused by passing military planes over the station. Elvan, along with Nabi Avcı and his accompanying people, took the YHT named Piri Reis, who was waiting at the station, and examined the test drive to the Bozüyük district of Bilecik. The ministers who came down from YHT in Bozüyük came to Hasanbeyli Logistics Center, where the opening ceremony will be held in Eskişehir with the same YHT. It was noteworthy that the poster of Lütfi Elvan, which was next to the Turkish Flag and the Ataturk poster, was hung in the ceremony area.
