The lawyers of some other detained defendants, Hüseyin Bodur and Abdullah Bulami, stated that Hakkı Sağlam was not directly harmed by the crime and requested the rejection of his request to participate in the trial.
Kadir Topbaş's excuse accepted
Judge Ahmet Torun, who decided to accept Kadir Topbaş's excuse and to notify the day of the hearing, ruled that the case file was submitted to the expert committee and a report should be requested regarding the nature of the crime and whether there was a damage suffered by the individuals and the public according to the evidence collected. The judge, who decided that Hakkı Sağlam's request to participate in the case should be evaluated after giving his written statements, adjourned the hearing to 27 May.
