Workers Action in Palandoken Ski Center

Workers Performed at the Palandöken Ski Center: 2011 workers working at the Privatization Administration (ÖİB) responsible for the Palandöken Ski Center, which hosted the 60 World Universities Winter Games, made an oath with the claim that their monthly salaries would be reduced to a minimum wage.

Workers working at the Palandöken Ski Center were allegedly paid by the PA on a monthly minimum wage. Thereupon, the facilities outside the mechanical facilities belonging to the hotels and the Special Administration were not operated on Wednesday between 09.00 and 09.30. Tourists who left the hotels and went to mechanical facilities to ski from Ejder hill reacted when they learned the action.

On the occasion of the developments, the President of the Privatization Administration Erzurum Palandöken and Konaklı Ski Center Vice President Eda Erturan held a meeting with the activist workers. After the negotiations, the action was finished in 30 minutes. Workers said they would continue the action if their wages were reduced to the minimum wage.
