A total of 27 new surface stations, 10 on the Anatolian side and 37 on the European side, will be built. 7 of them (Gebze, Pendik, Maltepe, Bostancı, Söğütlüçeşme, Bakırköy and Halkalı) Intercity train-commuter train will be transfer station. The other 30 station will serve as the suburban station only for Marmaray trains. 2 viaduct; 27 pedestrian underpass, 29 pedestrian underpass, 21 highway, 12 pedestrian overpass, 19 river crossing bridge and 60 culvert.
Within the scope of the project, which is targeted to be completed in 2015, Gebze-Pendik YHT line will be ready in 2014 and will be commissioned with Ankara-İstanbul YHT. High Speed Train departing from Ankara will reach Istanbul and stop in Gebze and Pendik.
14 historic station and historic buildings to be protected
The locations of the new stations and the route plans were determined in such a way that the historic station and all historical buildings of 14 on the suburban route were protected. Relief drawings, restitution drawings and restoration projects were prepared and final approval was completed. Bakırköy, Yeşilköy and Göztepe stations will be restored within the scope of the project. Within the scope of the work to be done before the Göztepe station will be suspended on the steel carrier, under the line structures will be built and then the historic station will be restored by protecting the site. New stations will be rebuilt in areas close to existing ones.
155 escalator, 191 elevator to be made
Within the scope of the project, escalators, elevators and ramps are provided for disabled citizens' access in the stations and underpasses. In this context, total 155 escalator and 191 elevator will be used. Stations below the ticket hall platform level, Küçükçekmece, Florya, Yeşilköy, Yeşilyurt, Ataköy, Yenimahalle, Feneryolu, Erenköy, Suadiye, Süreyya Beach, Ancestors, Kartal, Yunus, Kaynarca, Aydıntepe, İçmeler, Cayirova. Ticket Halls Station stations above the level of Mustafa Kemal, Zeytinburnu, Goztepe, Idealtepe, Basak, Guzelyali, Tuzla, Osmangazi, Darica Fatih.
