The completion of the assembly of the first of 40 new train sets of the İZMİR Suburban System (İZBAN) was celebrated by cutting a cake at the Eurotem factory in Adapazarı.

The installation of the first of 20 new train sets of İZBAN, whose name was determined as “Gulf Dolphin” with the votes of 40 thousand Izmirians, was completed. A cake celebration was held at the Eurotem factory in Adapazarı for the first set, which was completed in about a year. İZBAN A.Ş. Chairman of the Board of Directors İsmet Duman and Deputy Chairman Zeliha Gül Şener as well as members of the board of directors.

In the organization accompanied by TCCD General Manager Süleyman Karaman, the officials who cut the cake together, then examined the first set on site and received information about the latest status of the trains in the assembly unit. All test drives of Körfez Dolphin will be completed in Adapazarı and the first three sets with 9 wagons will be put into operation in İzmir in three months. In 2014, a total of 72 sets with 24 wagons will be in İzmir. The remaining sets will be completed and put into operation by August 2015. In this way, İZBAN, which will strengthen its fleet, will increase the quality of the service it offers to the people of İzmir, and will be able to significantly reduce the density by commissioning more trains each time.

GULF OF THE GULF

The new trains of İZBAN, named Bay Dolphin, consist of 120 sets with 40 cars. The length of each set is 70 meters. This length reaches up to 140 meters, as there are double series of voyages. The sets, whose width is 2 meters and 95 centimeters, are 3 meters and 85 centimeters in height. The sets, which have a maximum speed of 140 km / hour, will be able to carry approximately 1500 passengers at a time in a double array. There are automatic sliding bridges at the doors of the sets with 19 automatic passenger doors, which provide safety during the arrival and departure of passengers.
