AFYONKARAHİSAR – Afyon Kocatepe University (AKÜ) will train intermediate staff to work on the high-speed train line. AKU's 'Rail Systems Electrical and Electronics Technology Program' and 'Rail Systems Road Technology' programs were accepted by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
The proposal of AKU for the opening of the rail system department within the body of Afyon Vocational School (MYO) years ago was examined by HEC on 1,5 October 2.

Stating that this section is very important for Afyonkarahisar, Solak stated that the Afyonkarahisar leg of the Ankara-İzmir high-speed train line was tendered and the foundation was laid recently. Solak said, “We are very pleased that the intermediate staff who will work in Afyonkarahisar and its surroundings will be trained within the university, both in the construction phase and in the period following the completion of the high-speed train line that will pass through our city in the coming days.” said.

OFFERED ON THE BASIC DAYS

The foundation of the Ankara Afyonkarahisar section of the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​​​Train Project was laid last month with the participation of Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binali Yıldırım and Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Veysel Eroğlu. With the 270-kilometer railway line to be built thanks to high technology, the distance between Ankara and Afyonkarahisar will be reduced to 1,5 hours, and the distance between Afyonkarahisar and İzmir will be reduced to 2 hours. The project will be completed in 1080 days.
