Within the scope of this project, a new ropeway line was revealed while the discussions about the ropeway project between Zincirlikuyu and Çamlıca, announced by Kadir Topbaş, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality. It was decided that the first ropeway which was planned to be finished in Etiler and was planned to be finished in Çamlıca was to start from Zincirlikuyu. The 8 km project, which will be between Zincirlikuyu, Altunizade and Çamlıca, will be opened in 2015.
The municipality also plans to build a ropeway to the Golden Horn, between Eyup-Sutluce and the 3 kilometer. When these lines are completed, new ones will be added to ropeways in Maçka and Eyüp in Istanbul.
