3. 14 separate obstacle in airport project

  1. 14 separate obstacles to the airport project: The problem arose in the 'mine' at the 3rd airport, whose tender was completed in May but the ground delivery could not be made. Yıldırım said, 'There are 14 companies that are entitled. It is necessary to reach a compromise with them, 'he said.

The answer why the site delivery could not be made in the 3rd Airport tender, which was tendered at the beginning of May, came from the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Binali Yıldırım.

Stating that there are several conditions for the site delivery at the new airport to be built in Istanbul, Yıldırım said, “After solving all the problems with everything, we will make the site delivery so that the contractor firm starts to work. For this reason, it is difficult to give a date, but our goal is to complete the work in the first quarter of next year at the end of the year without delay and actually start work ”.

Saying that the land should be delivered to the contractor firm as immaculate, Yıldırım continued his words as follows: “You know, that is a forest area. There are some allocations here. At the same time, some of them are mine sites. There are 14 companies that have the right to mine. Interviews are held with them. They state that they have some rights. Our friends are making a determination of what is and is not in these meetings, and a compromise will be made according to these determinations. Otherwise, the business continues with constant problems.

Since there will be a serious soil movement in the place where the new airport will be built, Yıldırım said that the contractor company is also working on special machinery and equipment. Since there is a huge soil movement, special productions are required for this. They work on this. So I'm not worried about that. It is a project made with Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model. The delay is at my loss as well as at the expense of more contractors. That's why I have no worries..
