Bus Captain Profession Must Be Respectable Like Piloting
IETT General Manager stated that the bus captain should have a respectable place like the pilot profession. Hayri Baraçlı said that they started the “Transportation Academy Project” in order to realize the occupational standards.

Vocational Qualifications Authority (Myk) Transport, Logistics and Communication Sector Committee; Metrobus Driver Occupational Standard, Urban Public Transport Bus Driver, Minibus Driver, Service Driver and Taxi Driver were met in Kağıthane Social Facilities in order to discuss Occupational Standards. In the first session of the meeting, Metrobus Driver Occupational Standard was evaluated and in the second session, the meeting was ended by discussing the Public Transport Bus Driver Occupational Standard. The Committee of the Industry will revise these two occupational standards and submit it to the approval of Myk Board of Directors. Final draft standards will be published in the Official Gazette after the approval of the Board of Directors of Myk and will be awarded the National Occupational Standard (IAS).
