Transport, Maritime and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım said that 95 percent of the infrastructure works and 35 percent of the superstructure works have been completed on the High Speed Train (YHT) line between Eskişehir and Istanbul, which is under construction.

Minister Binali Yıldırım visited the YHT line construction site in Bilecik's Osmaneli district and received information about the works. Minister Yıldırım later made a statement to the press. Explaining the difficulties of the line on which the works are continuing, Minister Yıldırım said: “We saw it coming by helicopter. You exit one of the tunnels and enter one. There are also long viaducts in between, so over 30 kilometers, the tunnel is now completed. Over 10 kilometers of viaducts have been completed. On the other hand, ballast is being made, sleepers are placed, rails are laid and electric poles are pulled. It's a tremendous work. In summary, almost all of the infrastructure has passed 95 percent. The superstructure was made at 35 percent levels. From now on, the superstructure works will be accelerated further. Nearly a thousand machines are working, 2 thousand 600 people actually work. There is tremendous activity. Our aim is to complete the line from Ankara to Istanbul until 30 September. After that, of course, our opening day. We will decide with our Prime Minister. We see that the planned works are realized exactly as planned in the current studies. We have no significant delay, trouble. "

YHT'S BURSA CONNECTION

Minister Yıldırım said that the project work for Bursa Yenişehir-Bilecik YHT line will be completed in June. Minister Yıldırım continued as follows: “This line will be connected to Bilecik after 75 kilometers after Yenişehir. Work was done on 5 routes for connection to Bilecik. This is one of the most difficult geographies. One of these 5 routes was decided. More detailed project work continues there now. When will it finish? The project work will be completed as of the end of June, and of course, the second section's Yenişehir Bilecik connection tender will be made. Thus, Bursa connection will be realized in 2 hours and 15 minutes both to Ankara and Istanbul. Therefore, Bilecik is not only the land where the Ottoman Empire was established, but also a city where the high-speed train network meets. Until today, the amount of our spending for highway and railway in Bilecik has exceeded 3.6 quadrillion. This is not over, it will continue. Our other works continue. Divided road works and other projects for Bilecik continue exactly as planned. While there are 23 kilometers of divided roads, we have added 137 kilometers in this period. Then, of course, we will go to the Marmaray construction site. It is a continuation of this project in Marmaray. After Pendik, the Bosphorus crossing will be completed simultaneously as the Marmaray project. In the project, a separate work is also being carried out from Köseköy to Sapanca and then to Izmit. We will not check today, we will build it another day. In short, the 533-kilometer Istanbul-Ankara high-speed train route will be ready to be put into service in the next few months. "

THANKS TO CHINA PARTNERSHIP

Stating that great work has been done on the YHT line, Binali Yıldırım said, “I thank our contractors working with extraordinary effort and the Sino-Turkish partnership. They are doing great things. Most of the work has been completed. After that, it requires a little more effort. At the same time, they are in a very meticulous follow-up to our state railway managers, general manager, deputy general manager, regional managers, all our technical friends, and they examine the progress and work on site every day. I guess we come here and take the developments on the construction site from them and learn. Our aim is to provide the comfort and comfort that our people deserve and travel opportunities. We strive for this. Time is coming for this, and time is getting shorter gradually. I hope we will complete this project within this time. Why is it on Wednesday, May 29, with the participation of our president, our prime minister and our parliament speaker. May 29 is the 29th anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul. This anniversary, we are throwing a third necklace to Istanbul on the Bosphorus. A new bridge will be built there. We will also have laid its foundation. As you know, we held the tender for the third airport a while ago. Considering all these things together in Turkey are laying the foundation or almost all of the major projects in 560, he dreamed or construction in progress or completed. If the magic Turkey, the world's going to have to make these projects become one of the 3 economies. Do not waste time with idle chatter with anyone know what the cost of business in Turkey. Therefore, even one minute of us should not be wasted ”.
