TCDD Ankara High Speed Train Station Project draft draft will be submitted to the Minister for approval
New developments were recorded regarding the "Ankara High Speed Train Station Tender", where the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model will be applied for the first time by the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD). According to the information received by the Investments Magazine; The contract draft of the tender won by the Limak - Kolin - Cengiz İnşaat consortium was initialed on May 10, 2013.
Authorities noted that the initialed draft contract will be submitted for the approval of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım in the coming days. After obtaining the necessary approval, a contract will be signed with the consium. As it is known, İsmet Duman, Deputy General Director of TCDD and Head of the Tender Commission on September 11, 2012, stated that the proposal was evaluated in line with technical and financial criteria at the meeting held at the Real Estate and Construction Department Tender Hall and stated that the proposal was sufficient. İsmet Duman later opened the offer envelope in front of the press and announced that the consortium of Limak İnşaat - Kolin İnşaat - Cengiz İnşaat offered an operation period of 19 years and 7 months. The station will be built on an area of 21 thousand 600 square meters. There will be passenger lounges and kiosks on the ground floor of the station, which has a capacity of 50 thousand passengers a day and 15 million passengers per year. A 5-star hotel will be built on two floors of the station, and there will be restaurants and cafes on the roof floor. There will be platforms and ticket offices under the ground floor of the facility, and a 3-vehicle indoor parking lot will be located on the lower floor. Following the displacement of the lines at the existing station, 12 high-speed trains with a length of 420 meters, 6 conventional, 4 suburban and freight train lines will be built at the new station, where 2 high-speed train sets can dock at the same time.
It is planned to use the Ankara High Speed Train Station and the existing station in coordination. The two station buildings will be connected underground and above ground. According to the project, the light rail public transportation system will be built from Ankaray's Maltepe station to the new station building with a tunnel with a moving track. The New High Speed Train Station was planned by taking into account the national and international standards and by examining the structure, layout, usage and operation of high speed train stations in other countries.
