It has been reported that the infrastructure preparations for the construction of the cable car to Giresun Castle are continuing. Giresun Governor Dursun Ali Şahin held a meeting with the company officials carrying out the project. Stating that the total length of the cable car will be 1.280 meters and the travel time will be 5 minutes, Şahin said:
Ne We have begun to take the results of our efforts in the cable car project to Giresun Castle gradually. The final details of the project we are currently bringing to the tender stage are discussed. As a result of our intensive efforts, we are planning to build the cable car which is approved by Trabzon Cultural Heritage Protection Board with build-operate transfer model. We have reached the final point in the works for the construction of the ropeway project which will have no cost to the state and we aim to complete the construction as soon as possible after the tender to be realized and to complete it in a period like 5-6 month.
