showing a significant improvement in the rail transport in recent years, great strides have been living in Turkey also signaling systems. Within the scope of the works initiated in 2009, the "National Railway Signaling System", which will enable the signaling systems to become national, has been successfully completed. Developed with the cooperation of TCDD and TÜBİ-TAK and the contributions of Istanbul Technical University, the project was put into operation for the first time at the Buharkent station on the Germencik-Denizli line after 15 months at Adapazarı Mithatpaşa Station. The system, which was put into practice with the request of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım and the instructions of TCDD General Manager Süleyman Kahraman, will be installed at other stations on the line in the following days after Buharkent.

The railway signaling system developed by Turkish engineers will eliminate foreign dependency in this area and will significantly reduce costs. Now it's only three thousand kilometers of the signaling system in Turkey 12 thousand kilometers of existing railway line. In all of these lines, a signaling system produced by foreign companies is used. In addition to their high costs, an additional component or software change that needs to be added to the systems can cost very high prices. Due to the fact that all signalization companies are foreign, seriously high prices are charged in spare parts purchases.

Prevent addiction
Thanks to the developed National Railway Signalization System, all these problems will be eliminated. Turkey is scheduled times using national signaling systems on all railway lines in general. In this way, 100 percent domestic signaling system will be installed at lower costs. Thus, foreign dependency will be eliminated and millions of liras paid will be earned for the country's economy. On the other hand, it is stated that the national signaling system can be sold to Middle Eastern countries and other Turkic republics.
