The train journey for the disabled in Eskişehir turned into a nightmare due to the ongoing construction works.
While the construction of a new station is underway within the scope of High Speed Train works in Eskişehir, the temporary platforms made oblige the disabled to make a difficult journey. Disabled people, who get off the train with difficulty, take a journey of hundreds of meters on the rough road to get out of the station with the well-meaning assistance of the staff. Disabled people, who could not find a solution for getting on and off the train during the studies, can be taken out of the railway station with the help of officials under difficult conditions for two weeks.
People with disabilities say that they want Eskişehir to be a livable city for everyone, they want freedom of travel.
