Turkey is growing interest in the foreign railway transporters



The latest developments in railway freight transport, the European-Asian Railway Forum, where transport systems infrastructure, security and integration issues were put on the agenda, were held in Prague on 12-15 March.

The forum was organized with the title of Çalışma Dialogue between Railways and Customers forum and UTİKAD Board Member and Railway Working Group President Hacer Uyarlar, representing the Turkish transportation and logistics sector, attended the forum.

OSJD (Co-operation Organization of the Railways Cooperation of the Czech Republic), UIC (Railways International Association) and the forum organized by JERID -OLTIS. 18 supported the international organization.

The European-Asian forum focused on railway border crossings, simplification of e-procedures, new rail systems and corridors in Europe and Asia, East-West links, and rail transport development perspective.

Transportation, shipment tracking, extraordinary shipments, tariff and price formation, rail freight transport, modern logistics solutions, intermodality dissemination, support for international cooperation, cross-border trade and customs, e-commerce, railway freight competition in the market, combined and container transport between railways and cooperation, "green transportation" topics were discussed in the forum, incentives, infrastructure, security and legislation should be reviewed in order to develop international projects.

In his speech at the forum, Hacer Uyarlar, who gave information to the participants on Turkish rail transport, made the following evaluations about the forum which is one of the most comprehensive organizations in the field of European-Asian international railway transportation.
