Members of the "Railway Employees Platform", consisting of the members of the unions in Samsun, said in their press release that they did not want the privatization of TCDD.

Members of the 'Railway Workers Platform', who came together in front of Samsun Train Station, opened a banner saying 'No to the Privatization of TCDD' and shouted slogans against the government. Ali Şimşek, Chairman of the Sivas Branch of the United Transport Employees Union affiliated to KESK, who made a press release on behalf of the platform members, said, “We will not surrender railroads to the ambition of earning capital. If we cannot withdraw this law, we have no doubt that we will experience all the same problems experienced before in privatized institutions. We are determined in the struggle for him and we are on the road for him. On the night of April 02, 2013, we will go from Samsun, Edirne, İzmir, Adana, Kars and Van to Ankara. On 03 April 2013, we will make a press release in front of Ankara TCDD General Directorate. We will also organize and implement the work quitting action that we plan to do on April 16, 2013 ”.

After the press release, the group dispersed without incident.
