As the weather warmed, road works began. Those who want to go from Istanbul to Istanbul will encounter a road construction work for 75 days.
The part between the Adapazarı junction of the TEM highway and the Izmit East exit will be closed to traffic at night from May 2, due to the asphalting works. Drivers who will travel at night will use the D-100 highway.
The General Directorate of Highways will carry out a renewal work in order to correct the deteriorations and collapses that occur over time on the road, which is very heavily used. In the works planned to continue until 15 July, the Northern lane from Ankara to Istanbul will be corrected first. Then, works will be carried out on the south lane from Istanbul in the direction of Ankara. However, all these works will be carried out at night. The road on the route in question will be closed to traffic between 21.00 and 07.00 in the morning.
