Pressed button for Metro Vehicles Production Facility in Ankara
Binali Yıldırım, the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, participated in the 'Metro Vehicles Production Facility Groundbreaking Ceremony' held in Sincan Organized Industrial Zone. In addition to Minister Yıldırım, Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Melih Gökçek, Sincan Mayor Mustafa Tuna and Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) President Nurettin Özdebir attended the ceremony.
Minister Yıldırım pressed the button to start the construction of the Metro Vehicles Production Plant. Yıldırım, who negotiated with the contractor company for the start-up period of the 'Metro Vehicles Production Plant', made a tight bargain with the company official. Yıldırım's statement to the company official, 'Otherwise, I will take you to Friday' caused laughter. As a result of the bargaining, an agreement was reached to complete the facility and open it for production by the end of December.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Gökçek said, “As the municipality, we started 3 metro lines at the same time in Ankara. As Ankara Municipality, our power was barely enough for 900 trillion, after that we asked our Prime Minister and Minister for help. They didn't break the sequel. From time to time, they criticize me, they say, 'If you started less, you would have finished less'. I believe that at one point we were vigilant on behalf of Ankara, if we had not started the 44-meter metro, this would not have ended. Once it started, it was impossible for our Prime Minister and Minister not to finish it. Therefore, for Ankara kazanWe made a strong trade,” he said.
