Mecidiyeköy Altunizade ropeway line is planned
Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, started the works to be carried out with the tunnel boring machine in the construction of ÜmraniyeÇekmeköy-Sancaktepe metro line with a ceremony held at Ümraniye station. Speaking at the ceremony, Kadir Topbaş said that TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) will excavate 22 meters per day. Topbaş said, “We are almost knitting the city from underground with iron nets. Thousands of people work underground day and night. While life goes on above, studies are being carried out below so that people living in Istanbul do not have problems in transportation, ”he said. Noting that 700 thousand people will be transported on the second metro line of the Anatolian side, Mayor Topbaş stated that the line consists of 16 stations.

Indicating that the transportation time with the metro line will be shortened, Mayor Topbaş said: N 24 from Çekmeköy will be reached to Üsküdar in minutes, to Yenikapı in minutes to 36 and to 44 in minutes to Taksim in minutes. What a wonderful event. The 71 wagon will be activated. 126 thousand passengers will be transported per hour. When you bring the work to a certain point, it will be integrated with the cable car coming from Mecidiyeköy to Altunizade. A person from Çekmeköy will travel to Mecidiyeköy with this cable car.
