Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım met with members of the press at the State Airport Operations Social Facilities and answered the questions of journalists. After reminding a journalist of Prime Minister Erdogan's statements regarding the capacity of the 3rd Airport, Yıldırım said, “There is no contradiction regarding the capacity of the new airport. The airport will be completed in 4 stages. 5 million capacity will be reached in the first 90 years. In the next 3 stages, that is, in 25 years, its capacity will be 150 million ”.
Minister Yıldırım said that the practical capacity of the new airport is 90-100 million passengers, and has a physical infrastructure that can grow up to 25 million passengers per year up to 150.
