Topbaş made a statement about Mecidiyeköy Altunizade cable car line
Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, was a guest of NTV. Topbaş gave a new information about the cable car line to Çamlıca.
In an exclusive interview with NTV, the Mayor of Istanbul Kadir Topbas gave information about the new projects and said that the European leg of the ropeway for crossing the Bosphorus would be Mecidiyeköy, not Etiler.
Explaining that the European leg of the line will be made to Mecidiyeköy instead of Etiler, Topbaş stated that the system will carry 6 thousand people per hour. In the works there were very high masts, thick poles, thick ropes were placed in the large wagons. Such a structure can be reflected as alarming, but at a smaller hour 6 thousand people can carry a system that can be more stylish. We're going to be working as build.
We were thinking first from Etiler, to Altunizade in Then we decided to move it to Mecidiyeköy, the place where Ali Sami Yen was abandoned. This is the first time I've said here. There will also be a transportation axis that can be reached both from Büyük and Küçük Çamlıca but also by metro and Altunizade. The works for the mosque project in Çamlıca continue. This year, I think the foundation is thrown. The ropeway will go to both Camlica.
