Countdown started for Konya Mersin Railway Project
The countdown has started for the Konya Mersin Railway Project, which will connect Konya to the sea. The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization gave a positive note to the EIA report of the project, which is expected to cost 2,5 billion liras.
Preparations for the ”Konya-Mersin Railway“ Project, which is planned by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, continue. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report on the project, which is expected to cost 2,5 billion pounds, was given a positive decision by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
RAILWAY, LOGISTICS VILLAGE AND KOP ONE ALL
MUSIAD Konya Branch President Aslan Korkmaz stated that Konya Mersin Railway Project is one of the vision projects that Konya is looking forward to, and demanded that the works be accelerated. Governor Aydin Nezih Dogan is also behind the project explaining Korkmaz, "Railway line, Logistics Village and KOP is a whole," he said.
COMPETITIVENESS WILL increase
KOP Regional Development Administration Map Engineer Kerim Uyar explained the importance of the project with the following words: Products produced in Konya and neighboring provinces should be delivered to the market at low cost.
