YHT Will Arrive Arifiye: Arifiye Mayor Ismail Karakullukçu, the high-speed train (YHT) said the decision to pass through the county.
Karakullukçu, in his written statement, stated that they visited AK Party Sakarya Deputy Hasan Ali Çelik and TCDD General Director Süleyman Karaman and that they discussed the YHT project.
Stating that Arifiye is the gateway of Istanbul to Anatolia in terms of rail and road, Karakullukçu said:
“Arifiye was bypassed, but due to the high cost of the tunnel planned to be built in this region, it was decided that the route would pass through Arifiye again in order to open the line that was closed for 30 months in the planned time. Thus, our Arifiye will continue to be an intermediate station for our citizens coming and going both to Anatolia and Istanbul, and the Arifiye train station, one of the symbols of Arifiye, will continue its historical mission.
It was decided that the high-speed train route will pass through Arifiye. "
