Making examinations at Teferrüç Station, where the construction of the new Bursa cable car is underway, Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe said, "This summer, Bursa residents will meet with the modern cable car."
President Altepe examined the groundbreaking works of the poles to be located at the Teferrüç Station of the cable car, which is under renovation. Stating that the construction works have started at Teferrüç Station with the pouring of the mortar on the poles of the new line, Mayor Altepe said that concrete will be poured on the poles of Kadıyayla and Sarıalan stations, respectively, from Bursa to Uludağ. Expressing that after the poles are erected, the installation of steel ropes and technical equipment such as cabins, brought from European countries, especially Italy and France, will be started, President Altepe said, “I hope that the activities started will be completed quickly and Bursa residents will enjoy traveling with a modern cable car in summer.”
Noting that the new ropeway system will be put into service after the 50-year old ropeway as a result of the work done, Mayor Altepe said, “We are working with Leitner, one of the best companies in the world, in this business. After the construction and assembly works are completed, Bursa and Uludağ will be much closer to each other. It will be possible to reach the ski slopes of the hotels region from the city center in a short time like 22 minutes.
Reminding that the capacity has been increased by 12 times with the new ropeway system, Mayor Altepe noted that with the increased capacity, it will be possible to reach Uludag in summer and winter without experiencing congestion. Emphasizing that the journeys will take place in gondola type cabins for eight people and that they will take place by watching the beauties of Bursa and Uludağ, Mayor Altepe said, “Our goal is to complete the stages of Sarıalan until July and the hotel zone after the New Year.”
