Topbaş said the following about the ongoing work on transportation in Istanbul:
“The Üsküdar – Ümraniye metro line will be commissioned in 2016 and will be a 38 km metro line to be completed in 22 months. Bus Terminal – Bağcılar line will be put into operation in mid-2013. Sanayi Mahallesi - Seyrantepe third tube is expected to be commissioned in 20 months. There is the Kartal - Pendik - Kaynarca line. We are extending this to the shipyard in Tuzla. that we have brought to the tender stage and that we attach great importance to KabataşWe are thinking of making the tender for Beşiktaş Mahmutbey metro, which will start from , is at the tender stage in May 2013. The other one is Bahçelievler- Beylikdüzü, we have a metro line. Our Ministry of Transport will do this as well.”
INVESTMENT IN TRANSPORTATION WILL FIND 2013 BILLION LIRA AT THE END OF 28.4
Topbaş also stated that 8 billion liras will enter the city as an investment this year. Topbaş said, “When we reach the end of 2013, we will talk about the total investments we made in Istanbul as 60 billion TL. Although a municipal bankruptcy Istanbul Turkey will be shaken. We continue our investments. We make our investments in transportation, including highways and rubber wheel systems. We invested 8 billion liras in transportation in 24.4 years. Central administrations make subways in the world. We have invested around 7 billion lira in the metro so far. Our investments in transportation will reach 2013 billion liras by the end of 28.4 ”.
THE GOLDEN HORN METRO BRIDGE FROM IPAD
Talking about the works on the Golden Horn metro bridge, Topbaş said, “If 1 million passengers will land at Yenikapı, this bridge exists if you cannot pass otherwise. If this bridge has been discussed continuously for 19 years, we, as those who are sensitive to this city, of course respect the city. I say that we do something with precision while doing something. ” WE WILL COMPLETE OUR ELECTIONS AT THE END OF FEBRUARY”
Speaking at the meeting, ITO President Murat Yalçıntaş spoke about the ITO elections. Yalçıntaş said, “After this meeting, we will make a board of directors. The election date will be determined in the board of directors. We will make the committee elections in the middle of February. The committee elections in mid-February, and a week later, we hold the elections for the chairman of the board. We will have completed our elections at the end of February. That's why we had a preliminary meeting with the election board in the elections we held last term. If possible, we plan to make the selection in two different places.
