Objections continue for Haydarpaşa Train Station, which was closed on February 1, 2012 and planned to be built as a hotel and shopping center. Haydarpaşa Solidarity activists met for the 50th time last Sunday. Every Sunday between 13.00-14.00, activists gathered at the station stairs and kept watch, stated that the Haydarpaşa Train Station, which has been in service for 104 years, is the symbol of Istanbul and therefore they object to not building a hotel and shopping mall here.
