Every issue of Izmir has been resolved but Buca is the nostalgic tram left! Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım laid the foundation for a hospital in Ödemiş. The foundation of the State Hospital in Ödemiş district of İzmir was laid with a ceremony attended by the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binali Yıldırım. Responding to the statements of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu that they prevented the Buca Tram Project, Minister Yıldırım said, 'Every issue of İzmir has been resolved, but is Buca's nostalgic tram left? Izmir residents are waiting for the subway to be finished as soon as possible. First of all, it is necessary to remove the subway from the Izmir agenda. Isn't that much more urgent? We did not look at any project in Izmir negatively. Everything is over, Buca is a nostalgic train left. Let's finish the subway first. Let's take the metro off the agenda of Izmir. There is a term in Anatolia called the paint it covers. There is no dispute here. We have a subway project from Şirinyer to there. We have to work on whether it is a top or bottom rail system. We are waiting for the result of that work. In İzmir, we do not consider this project as the municipality, this is ours. We take care of the job. We are not the complaint authority, those in the responsibility position produce solutions, ”he said.
