Chinese Firm Wins CSR Argentina Train Set Tender: CSR Sifang Co won the tender for the supply of electric multi-unit (EMU) train sets for Argentina with a bid of 3.4 billion yuan ($ 539.680.000).
This major contract to be made by the company in South America was announced in a statement made by the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
CSR Sifang will deliver the first train set within six months. The remaining order is expected to be completed by May 2014. EMU train sets will be used on the Buenos Aires Sarmiento and Miter railways.
