In October 2012, Bombardier delivered the first new fully automated MOVIA train set to the Singapore Land Transport Office (KTD) two weeks before the contract expires.
Bombardier's first fully automated subway system of Singapore City Center Line (KMH) will carry about one million passengers per day when fully operational in 2017 and will be the first phase of the world's longest (42 km) driverless underground fast public transport (HTD) line .
Singapore's fifth public transport line, the Singapore City Center Line 2013, will be gradually launched in 2015 and 2017. The first stage includes six stations from Chinatown to Bugis. The 2.Kent Center Line, which extends from Bukit Panjang to Rochor, will reduce the journey time from 1 to 20 minutes. The line starting from Bukit Panjang will pass through the Bukit Timah corridor before joining the KMH 1 at Bugis. The last phase will transport the passengers to the city center. With the 10 new station intersecting at the 34 transfer point, the City Center Line will improve the connections of the existing railway network, providing direct access to the Central Business District and Marina Bay from the northwest and east corridors of the island. The transportation system line will be operated by SBS Transit, which receives the operating rights for the 19 yearbook.
