Sumela ropeway project will be finished this winter
The businessman from Trabzon, Şükrü Fettahoğlu, costs 7 million liras for the cable car project we will build in the Sumela Monastery. We will start working immediately. We are planning to complete the Sümela cable car this winter and raise it to the summer season. Whoever comes to Uzungöl definitely goes to Sumela, who comes to Ayder definitely goes to Sümela. From this point of view, Sumela Monastery is an important tourism area for our region. We will carry out our project in this direction. I believe that the number of people visiting Sümela Monastery will increase when the problem at the transportation point disappears.
